Panama Case: JIT Summons Shahbaz Sharif On Saturday

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has summoned Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to appear on Saturday, June 17, before the JIT, which is responsible for investigating the PanamaLeaks case, local media outlet reported.

As per sources in the Punjab Chief Minister House, the summons from the JIT was received asking Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to appear before the probe body.  The sources are also reported to have said that Shahbaz Sharif had been asked to bring documents related to the Hudaibya Paper Mills.

It has been claimed that Shahbaz Sharif holds 10,000 shares in his own name and 303,000 shares in the name of his daughter Rabia Shahbaz Sharif in the Hudaibya Paper Mills that according to some reports was allegedly used for money laundering in the past.

The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked PML-N supporters to refrain from visiting the Judicial Academy during the appearance of the Punjab chief minister before the JIT.
