KARACHI: On Tuesday, Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged to transform Karachi into a city that would reap opportunities for all.
“The PPP leaders and workers from Karachi should step-up campaign and take the message of the party to every door in the city that we will transform it into a city of opportunities for all and sundry residing here,” said junior Bhutto while chairing a meeting of the PPP leaders from Karachi division at Bilawal House to discuss strategies regarding the election strategy within K-town.
He said that people of Karachi would be exercising their right of franchise for the first time without any coercion and intimidation.
Furthermore, Bilawal Zardari said that the PPP would sweep general elections in Karachi as it had served the people of the city, who could more easily differentiate between anti-PPP propaganda and the services rendered by the party for the metropolis despite having lesser mandate from it.
Moreover, the PPP Chairman said that Karachi had been freed from the controls of ‘Na-Maloom Afrad’ (unknown persons) and due to initiatives and efforts of the last PPP government, peace had been reinstated in Karachi to a great extent.
Sherry Rehman, Rashid Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, President PPP Karachi Division Saeed Ghani, General Secretary PPP Karachi Division Javed Nagori, Nabeel Gabol, Yousuf Baloch, Najmi Alam, Khalil Hoath, Karamullah Waqasi, Nadya Gabol, Nadir Gabol, Shakeel Chaudhry and others were also present in the meeting.
