LAHORE: On Wednesday Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that PTI government has proposed reforms in the health sector on war footing across the province, media reported.
While addressing the Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Mir Dost Muhammad Mazari who called on Dr. Yasmin here today (Thursday), the health minister called for a genuine change in public health facilities and other meaningful reforms within.
“To achieve the goals set as a part of our 100-day plan is our top priority” she told the deputy speaker Mir Dost, adding that unfortunately South Punjab was not given its due right previously.
She commented that now was the time to give southern districts of the province their due share.
Dr Yasmin Rashid maintained that the health ministry is trying to enhance delivery service of health department and therefore, necessary legislation would be promulgated.
“We would welcome constructive suggestions instead of criticism,” she added.
She also vowed that she would fulfil the given task by all means.
Deputy Speaker Mir Dost Muhammad Mazari appreciated the Dr. Yasmin Rashid unflagging efforts.
