ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Veteran Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu expressed the level of reverence and unconditional love he was overwhelmed with upon his visit to Pakistan.
“I am leaving Pakistan after laying foundation of a good initiative for peace, love, and harmony,” he said while talking to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Javed Khan in Islamabad before leaving for Lahore.
He expressed the hope that someone would construct a bridge of peace on the foundations he had laid down.
To a query, the politician of Indian Punjab proposed a match between champions of Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League. He said cricket plays an important role in bringing people together.
On invitation of former Pakistan skipper and newly-elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, Sidhu had come here to attend his swearing in ceremony.
