The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory for Karachi stating that day temperature is likely to hit 40°C to 43°C for the next five to six days due to subdued sea breeze.

Therefore, the PMD office has advised deputy commissioners of all the districts to take effective measures for the protection from the heatwave and has issued an advisory to Karachi administration, K-Electric, PMDA and other institutions to ensure uninterrupted supply of water and power.

Spokesman Chief Minister House Sindh said, “CM Murad Ali Shah had called Secretary Health and Commissioner to instate mobile service hospitals and ensure availability of doctors and medicines at heat stroke centres.”
