KJo’s “K3G” is all set for its TV remake by Ekta Kapoor

Media reported that Ekta Kapoor is making a TV adaptation of Dharma Productions hit film “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham”.

Last month she tweeted about working on a “family soap after years” and if the Indian publication is to be believed then K3G is probably it.

The 2001 family drama features Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Jaya Bachchan, and so far, only two actors have been finalized for the TV adaptation.

“Bijoy Anand, who played Kajol’s wayward fiancé in the 1998 romcom “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha”, has been cast to play Amitabh Bachchan’s patriarch, Yashvardhan Raichand, while “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi” actress Erica Fernandes is in talks to play either Kajol’s talkative Anjali or her younger sister, Pooja (popularized by Kareena as ‘Poo’). The part will be finalized after a look test,” a source claimed.

Rumor has it that Jodha Akbar (TV show) actor Rajat Tokas has been approached to play SRK’s role, while Rahul Raichand and Varun Sood have been shortlisted for Hrithik Roshan’s part.
