Mufti Qavi sent to jail on judicial remand


The latest update on Qandeel’s murder case is Mufti Abdul Qavi has been sent for judicial remand on Wednesday in Multan.

During the court hearing, Judicial Magistrate Pervaiz Khan, sent Mufto Qavi to jail as his two-day physical remand expired today.

The police informed that their investigation is done and they do not need to probe the cleric any further. Investigation officer has been informed to submit the detailed report to court in next hearing i.e. on Nov 7.

During the last hearing of the case, Qavi maintained that he had not done anything wrong or illegal, whereas Qandeel’s father Muhammad Azeem told the magistrate that his daughter had been murdered at the behest of the cleric.
