ISLAMABAD: Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to return to Pakistan to appear before a trial court hearing graft cases filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against him and members of his family.
Nawaz has changed his arrival plans twice in past two weeks to face NAB for accountability cases against him and his family for which a bailable arrest warrant was released against him last week by court.
On Monday, PML-N leaders met in London to discuss some important leadership matters of party and Shehbaz Sharif also attended the meeting.
The Party released a statement after the meeting that there is no PML without N thus putting all rumours and speculations of Nawaz leaving the party to end.
On Oct 5, the former prime minister departed for London to visit his ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz undergoing treatment for threat cancer.
Sharif and his sons – Hussain and Hassan – have been named in three NAB references, while Maryam and her husband have been named only in a reference related to the family’s London flats.
Sharif will present himself for his cases in NAB on 3rd November.
