Nawaz arrives at accountability court for hearing in NAB references

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrived at the accountability court for beginning of the hearing pertaining to references filed against him and his family members by the National Accountability Bureau early Wednesday morning, reported the Express News.

The court resumes hearing today [November 15] wherein it is expected to record statements from witnesses including SECP officer Mansoora  Awan and FBR’s Jahangir Ahmad. The trial will be presided by Justice Muhammad Bashir.

The former premier was accompanied by his daughter Maryam Nawaz while Capt [Retd] Safdar Awan was also present at the court. Other Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including Tariq Fatemi, Saad Rafique, Talal Chaudhry and Marriyum Aurangzeb also reached the accountability court to support their leader.
