LAHORE: Early Wednesday morning, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport from Istanbul where a large number of PAT workers greeted him by showering rose petals.
While addressing media at the airport, the Dr. Qadri said Prime Minister Imran Khan has struggled along with him for provision of justice to the victims of the Model Town incident for four years.
He asked the Prime Minister to honour the promise he had made with regard to the Model Town incident and added, now the people who will help the victims get justice are in power, not the ones who are killers.
Not a single person responsible for the carnage has been brought to justice, the PAT Chief mourned. He was of the view that as many as 116 police officers are obstacle in dispensation of justice and demanded that all these policemen should be put under suspension.
He called on the PTI government to bring those behind the carnage, to book.
Dr Tahirul Qadri also offered condolences on the death of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and prayed for her.
