ISLAMABAD: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will arrive on a two-day official visit to Pakistan today being an invitee to Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Mevlut stated that apart from meeting his Pakistani counterpart Mr. Mehmood Qureshi, he will also call on President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During the meetings, the relations between Turkey and Pakistan will be talked about and views on regional and international developments shall be exchanged.
The Turkish minister had extended the invitation to visit Pakistan when he exchanged a telephonic conversation with Shah Mehmood Qureshi in order to congratulate him on apparently being the country’s new foreign minister.
Turkish Foreign Minister had also offered to host the trilateral Afghanistan-Pakistan-Turkey Summit in the near future.
Both leaders had also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the United Nation General Assembly session in New York next month.
