Pakistan Army’s Local Commander Holds Hotline Talk With Indian Counterpart At LOC

RAWALPINDI: A local commanders level hotline contact was established at Rawlakot- Poonch sector on Line of Control (LoC) last night between Pakistan and Indian Army authorities, Pakistan Army’s public affairs department said Tuesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian counterpart was told that there has been no ceasefire violation or crossing of line of control by Pakistani troops from Pakistan side nor mutilation of Indian soldiers bodies.

Indian authorities were told that there is unnecessary media hype following the allegations, it said.

Pakistan remains fully committed to maintaining peace and tranquility along the LOC and expects same from other side and hope prudence is exercised and no steps are taken that may lead to vitiating of environment and affect peace along LOC.
