Pakistan Navy successfully test fires submarine missile ‘Babur’


On Thursday, The Pakistan Navy successfully test fired submarine launched cruise missile (SLCM) Babur with a range of 450 kilometers, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Babur is able enough to deliver different kinds of payloads whilst employing underwater controlled propulsion, advanced guidance and navigation features.

The missile was fired from an underwater dynamic platform, which successfully engaged its target with utmost precision.

The development of such a weapon is likely provide Pakistan the capability to respond to provocative nuclear strategies and posture being pursued in the neighborhood.

Moreover, the trial was witnessed by director general Strategic Plans Division (SPD), Chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), Commander Naval Strategic Force Command (NSFC).

The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan also extolled all those who contributed in making it a success.
