LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will produce its witnesses before its Anti-corruption Tribunal on May 25 in a spot-fixing case against cricketer Nasir Jamshed reported on the first day of the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in the United Arab Emirates.
On Tuesday, PCB lawyer Tafazzul Rizvi submitted its reply to the tribunal in response to Nasir’s reply against the allegations levelled against his client by the PCB.
On May 25, after the arguments from both the parties it would be decided by the tribunal whether to continue the case or not.
Though Nasir was not part of the PSL, he is facing allegations that he persuaded four cricketers of the league namely Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Muhammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hasan to be part of the spot-fixing and in this regard, he had the services of Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of UK.
Nasir is unable to appear before the tribunal because his passport is seized with the UK authorities, so, his lawyer is defending him in the case.
