LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council has organized an evening with the performing arts students of Alhamra Performing Art Academy on 16th Aug Thursday, the Mall.

The show was the part of the series of Independence Day celebrations, which Alhamra has started, form 12th of August.  In the show, Students from Alhamra Performing Art Academy show their talent and amused the audience with their outstanding performances, including vocals performances, music instruments dances and acting.

On the occasion Chairman Alhamra Arts Council Mr. Tuqeer Nasir said that it is our prime goal to restore our colorful culture and spirit of performing arts by bringing them together; from, music, dance vocalists and acting on one platform. We the LAC decided to do all possible things for revival, promotion, and progress of performing arts.

While talking to media Executive Director Alhamra Arts Council, Capt R Atta Muhammad Khan said, this evening is the continuation of our commitment towards the promotion of arts and culture, Capt Atta further said that this show is the result of our student’s commitments toward their respective fields of performing arts. Indeed Alhamra’s vision is to display and raise pure and unique forms of performing arts. Today’s show is featuring a diversity of performances of creative students of Alhamra Performing Art Academy he added.

Famous poet Amjad Islam Amjad, director and producer Hassan Askari, director of arts and culture Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi and families of students along with huge audience attended the show.
