United States: how one man who carried out the deadliest shooting in Texas history by killing 26 people is not a terrorist

26 people died in a Texas Baptist church (USA) as a result of a shooting initiated by an unidentified person, local authorities reported.

The governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, confirmed that 26 people died in the shooting started this Sunday (05.11.2017) by a person in a Baptist church in Texas (USA), and that has also left dozens of wounded.

A man opened fire in the church during the mass. According to one witness, at least 20 shots were heard. The incident occurred in a temple in Sutherland Springs, 45 kilometers southeast of San Antonio (Texas), where there is reported to be a strong police presence following the events, including the FBI.

As a result of the shooting, 23 people died inside the church, two more outside and one later in a local hospital.
Authorities said the ages of the 26 victims range from 5 to 72 years old, one of whom is Annabel Pomeroy, the 14-year-old daughter of the pastor of the Frank Pomeroy church.

The authorities indicated that it is being investigated whether the attacker, who died shortly after the shooting, belonged to a criminal organization and only announced that he was a man of just over 20 years of age.
Although the authorities did not disclose the name of the attacker, several US media have identified him as Devin Kelley, a 26-year-old white man who died after a brief persecution.

Freeman Martin, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said at the press conference that the attacker was dressed completely in black and was wearing a bulletproof vest.

On the other hand, the president of EE. UU., Donald Trump, who is on tour in Japan, said he was following from there the situation in the town of Sutherland Springs.
