One FC soldier was also injured in an exchange of fire with suspected militants.

In Punjab, 10 suspected militants were apprehended as the Rangers conducted ‘search and sanitisation operations’ in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Lahore, Attock and Rawalpindi.

A cache of arms and ammunition as well as explosive material were also recovered during the operations in both regions.
