Rishabh Pant is being touted as a future superstar of Indian cricket, not that you’d be able to tell from this embarrassing dismissal in the IPL.
The teenager was coming off a masterful innings of 97 for Delhi Daredevils last time out when his side took on Gujurat Lions on Thursday.
He was on just 4 when a ball on his legs ricocheted off his pads to Suresh Raina at first slip.
The LBW appeal was turned down but Pant had inexplicably wandered out of his crease and failed to get back in before the stumps were thrown down.
The young batsman wasn’t even looking at Raina when he was dismissed.
“Lazy, very lazy,” one commentator said.
Luckily for Pant, Delhi pulled off a successful run chase to win by two wickets with two balls left.
