Quetta-born professional boxer Mohammad Waseem knocked out Panama’s Eliecer Valdes to maintain his first position in WBC rankings on Wednesday.
“I knocked out Panama’s fighter in the second round. I am very happy that I have been able to maintain the first position,” Waseem said, expressing pleasure and thanking his fans in a video message.
‘Falcon Khan’ Waseem’s latest fight resulted in the sixth consecutive win of his professional career. He first won the flyweight title in July 2016, defeating favourite Jether Oliva from the Philippines.
Waseem is currently training for his much-awaited fight against World Champion Mayweather Junior, expected to take place early next year. Jeff Mayweather, who is also the uncle of Mayweather Junior, is currently coaching Waseem.
