Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim said that as a cricketer he stands by and seconds Mr. Salman Iqbal’s decision of boycotting the controversial T10 League.

While addressing media in Abu Dhabi ahead of Pakistan’s first T20I against Australia, Imad Wasim hailed the efforts of the founder and CEO of ARY Digital Network Mr. Salman Iqbal for promoting cricket in Pakistan.

“He [Mr. Salman Iqbal] has always done a lot for Pakistan cricket,” Imad remarked. “If he feels like there is something going on, then obviously as a cricketer, as a player I have to back him.”

The left-hander all-rounder coined the owner of Karachi Kings as a ‘veteran’ of Pakistan cricket.

“He is a Pakistani veteran in cricket,” the Karachi Kings’ skipper said pertinently. “People do not forget him and about his services for Pakistan.”

He further told that he is proud of the decision he made of backing off from playing the dubious ten over-leagues, which take place in the UAE.

“It was obviously my decision to stand by him and I am proud,” he further added.

Earlier, Mr. Salman Iqbal resigned from the post of T10 League’s presidentship citing lack of transparency, unprofessionalism and no proper structure in the league.
