
The iconic playwright, actor, and academic Shoaib Hashmi passed away in Lahore after fighting a prolonged illness. The news of his death was confirmed by his son and actor Adeel Hashmi. Shoaib Hashmi had suffered a brain hemorrhage 12 years ago and had been bedridden for a decade.
Hashmi made notable contributions to the Pakistani entertainment industry. His shows such as ‘Akkar Bakkar’, ‘Such Gap’, ‘Taal Matol’, and more earned him a respectable name in the industry.
