ECC relieves of three 3,900 megawatts power plants

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has exempted three power plants based in Punjab of 3,900 megawatts from Liquified Natural Gas expenses. LNG has removed the power plants and released the custom duties applied to the cotton yard.

Moreover, in a meeting by Minister for Finance, Revenue, Industries, and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar, the decision of approving Rs 11.7 billion supplementary grants to aid in the development of four mother and children care hospitals in Punjab, was also taken.

The Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE) put forward the summary concerning the waiving off a minimum of 66pc on take-or-pay commitment in the Gas Supply Agreement and Power Purchase Agreement.
