Flour millers threaten to go on strike due to sales tax

The flour millers have warned that they will go on a two-day strike if the federal government does not withdraw 17% sales tax on choker. The provincial chief of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association, Asim Raza, has informed that the millers would not be washing wheat from Wednesday and grinding the next two days all across Pakistan.

Asim has also said that that if the demands would not be taken seriously, by the 30th of this month the mills would be shutting down and the supply of flour would be suspended.
