KE submits investment plan worth Rs140bn to NEPRA

K-Electric has submitted an additional plan to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to make investments of Rs140bn for the improvement of the power sector in Karachi. In order to guarantee the uninterrupted and safe power supply, KE had already got approved Rs299 billion in the tariff control period of 2017-2023.

This additional investment will be making the investment plan of KE electric worth Rs440 billion if NEPRA approves of the submitted plan.

The CEO of K-electric Moonis Alvi said that the additional investment is critical to meet Karachi’s requirements and it will grow rapidly as compared to the urban centres.
