Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, informed that the exports for Pakistan’s Information Technology (IT) have touched $635 million in the first quarter of the fiscal year (Q1FY22). As compared to the exports value of the last year that stood at $445 million, this year’s exports have shown an applaudable increase of 42% growth. Razak in his tweet expressed satisfaction saying “I appreciated all the stakeholders for their efforts and dedication”.
Moreover, Razak tweeted, “By seeing how the IT sector is growing, I am optimistic that we will cross the IT exports target for FY of 2021-22.” Earlier, the adviser had announced a 27.4$ increase in the export in September when the startups raised a good record US $305 million during the first nine months of 2021.
