Pakistan has ranked third in the Economist’s “normalcy index” out of 50 countries. The Global Normalcy index will determine the countries that have returned to their normal pre-pandemic life.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan stands third among fifty countries in the Global Normalcy index by the Economist. The grade has been evaluated on the basis of a few parameters such as retail, cinema, public transport, fights, sports attendance, road traffic, and office use.
As per the record, the normalcy index took a hit when COVID-19 hit Pakistan at the beginning of the year 2020 because the countries had imposed a strict lockdown to curb the spread.
The activity of pre-pandemic time has been decided out of 100 scores and Pakistan won the third position with 88.4 out of 100.
