Pakistan’s exports to the UK have witnessed a growth of 33% as it reaches $2.025 billion in the fiscal year of 2021. When compared to the fiscal year of 2020 where the growth was only %1.522bn, the difference has been magnificent that is majorly led by textile products.
According to the data collected by the Ministry of Commerce, exports of Pakistan to the UK depend upon textile and leather-oriented products. With time UK has become Pakistan’s third greatest export destination, the second-largest source of foreign direct investment, and the third-largest source of remittances.
In conclusion, the two countries’ bilateral trade has crossed $2.64bn in the fiscal year 2021 as compared to the fiscal year 2020 of $21.22bn which indicates an increase of 25%.
