Petrol price in Pakistan will remain the same till May 31 as per the statement by the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib. He took his Twitter account to announce the news that the price for petroleum products will stay unchanged till May 31 and that PM Imran Khan has decided to not increase this burden on the nation no matter how the rate in the international market increases.

Habib also mentioned that due to this decision, the national exchequer will face the loss of Rs2.77 billion in case the rate of petroleum products stays unchanged in this manner. Furthermore, he stated that the government has decreased the sales tax on diesel and kerosene oil.
