The government has increased the price of all petroleum products. On Wednesday, it announced that the price of petrol has increased by Rs5 due to the fluctuation in petrol prices in the international market. The Finance Division has issued a notification that read that the increase in petroleum products will be effective from September 16.
The increment of Rs5 in petrol has led the cost to be Rs123.20 per litre and the high-speed diesel has seen the increment of Rs5.01, the current cost is Rs120.04 per litre. Whereas, the current price of kerosene is Rs96.26.
