Detected and blocked’ Indian submarine incursion: ISPR

Indian Navy has deceitfully deployed its submarine against Pakistan with ulterior motives. However, Pakistan Navy once again through its unremitted vigilance and professional competence thwarted Indian Submarine from entering into Pakistani waters.

During the prevailing security milieu in the garb of ongoing naval Exercise SEASPARK-22, the possibility of an Indian unit lurking into the Pakistan Maritime Zone for reconnaissance and gathering information on exercise was anticipated. Therefore, strict monitoring watch and stringent vigilance procedures against multi-threat environments were enforced. The likelihood of Indian submarines trespassing into Pakistani waters as intercepted earlier was also taken into account besides gathering information on Indian submarine movements. As a result, the Pakistan Navy Anti-submarine warfare unit took the lead and prematurely intercepted and tracked the most latest class of Indian submarines for the fourth time during the silent hours of 01 March 2022.

The recent incident being the fourth detection in the last five years is a question mark on training and wartime procedures of the Indian Navy Submarine Force. At the same time, the encounter of detecting the submarine is a reflection of the Pakistan Navy’s competence and resolve to defend the maritime frontiers of Pakistan.
