Pakistan dramas don’t depict real issues faced by women: Sania Saeed

Veteran Pakistani actress Sania Saeed has come down hard on directors in the industry for not highlighting the real issues faced by women.

The actress said the Pakistani drama industry is now only focused on women’s marriage issues, which she called a ‘wrong’ depiction. Sania said that women contribute to every field with great fervor and passion but directors fail to recognize this.

The negative depiction of women in Pakistan’s media has been an uncontested issue but the movement against it is finally starting.
