A searing look at honour killings in Pakistan has earned Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy an Academy Award. The 37-year-old director claimed her second career Oscar on Sunday for “A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness” in the best short documentary category.
