First Pakistani coronavirus patient in Italy dies

On Wednesday, the first Pakistani patient of the novel coronavirus has died in an Italian town, the Foreign Office said.

Aisha Farooqui, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that one Imtiaz Ahmad, a 61-year-old man, has died of the disease in Brescia, an Italian town in the northern Italian region of Lombardy.

She added that the consulate has been in contact with the family and Italian authorities on this matter.
