Mexico is hoping to vaccinate the whole population of around 126 million by the year 2022’s first quarter. Mexico’s deputy health minister, Hugo Lopez-Gatell confirmed the news on May 3rd, 2021. This plan of the government ensures the consideration of the probable delays in vaccine production or delivery.
As of now, the country has managed to provide the first dose of vaccination to the 10% of the entire population and by mid-July, they have expected to vaccinate 20% population of the first dose. The Health Ministry of Mexico reported 1027 new cases due to COVID-19 with 11 more death. The active case tally has reached 2349,900 and the death tally to 217,345.
