Indian politician and former cricket player, Navjot Singh Sidhu has stepped down as Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee’s president. On his official Twitter account, Sidhu shared the copy of his resignation letter that he sent to the Indian National Congress (INC) and broke the news to the world. Sidhu stated that he decided to take this decision for the betterment and welfare of the Indian Punjab.
In his letter he said wrote, “The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.”
Some of the INC members revealed Sidhu resigned because he was disappointed for not being nominated for the position of Punjab chief minister.
