Saudi Arabia has decided to accept the travelers in the kingdom who have received Chinese vaccines such as Sinopharm and Sinovac along with the booster shots from KSA-approved vaccines. The travelers must complete the course of the vaccine and carry the evidence along. The country’s e-visa portal has issued a set of guidelines that travelers must follow in order to enter the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia opened the doors to international travelers on August 1, to those who have been jabbed by one dose of Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines, as per the guidelines by the portal.

The kingdom has declared to welcome the travelers after 17 months of closure due to the pandemic. The inoculated travelers must have proof of negative PCR test in the last 72 hours and have their detail registered to the health authority. Such travelers will not need to observe an additional quarantine period in KSA.

Recently, the Umrah ban has also been lifted by the country for the vaccinated pilgrims who must follow the COVID-19 SOPs. Earlier, the annual Hajj pilgrimage was held in Saudi Arabia where only 60,000 pilgrims were allowed from the countries that made it to the list of the countries approved by the Saudi government. Pakistan’s name wasn’t on the list.
