Seven people were killed, out of seven, six were police officers and one civilian during the clashes between the two Indian states. Seventy have been injured. The clash started when the state of Assam accused Mizoram of encroaching their territory. Assam’s police took over the area of Lailapur.
The chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the dispute started when Mizoram opened gunfire. In response to that, Mizoram’s home minister blamed the Assam police’s encroachment of territory. Both of them shared the video of the clash.
