The worsening situation of COVID-19 demands more oxygen and hospital beds in India

According to the health ministry, India has witnessed the highest record of COVID-19 cases on Sunday with one out of six individuals testing positive for the virus. Currently, the country is on the second number for the most infected nation with 14.8 million cases.

The deteriorating condition of the virus requires more hospital beds in numerous states of the country. Hospitals plan to convert wards into COVID-19 facilities calling for more laboratories, oxygen-supported beds, health care staff, and ventilators.

New Delhi, the capital city of India reportedly has 25,500 infected people in 24 hours. Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal stated that with the rising cases, there are 100 beds left and the oxygen supply is also running out.
