Turkey to impose lockdown from April 29 to May 17 to control CVID-19

A full lockdown has been decided to be imposed in Turkey. The Turkish President Racep Tayyip Erdogan announced the duration of the full lockdown to be April 29th, 2021, to May 17th, 2021 to control the growing number of cases in the third wave of COVID-19.

On Monday. 37,312 new cases were reported in Turkey which is considered the highest in Europe. Erdogan emphasized that they must do anything in their power to reduce the number of active cases to 5000 per day. He also mentioned that during full lockdown people will be staying indoors unless there is a valid reason for them to step outside and all non-essential business will be closed.
