The Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) met the chief of Taliban in Kabul to explain that the health system is declining in Afghanistan and the need to assess humanitarian requirements. After the arriving Kabul, WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus arranged a meeting with the Taliban’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mutaqi and talked about the status of humanitarian access in the community.
Tedros has been working to strengthen the humanitarian aid in the war-torn country to prevent catastrophe. He also met the Taliban’s head of cabinet ministers, Mohammad Hassan Akhund alongside his deputies. Moreover, Taliban leaders promised to safeguard humanitarian aid and its workers.
