Waseem Akram Attacked During Live Show in India

A video of the incident released online shows the man rudely confronting Akram and the camera crew, forcing the cricket legend to halt his analysis and get up from his seat.

Vikrant Gupta, the anchor of the show, who witnessed the incident live appeared surprised and wondered what had happened.

Gupta, who is the channel’s sports editor, later took to Twitter about the incident saying there was “no need to panic”.

He clarified that Akram was safe and that the scene had been created by “a drunkard” seeking attention on live cameras.
