President Arif Alvi will be addressing a joint sitting of parliament as the fourth parliamentary session begins. The members of the Opposition and journalists are ready to set up a protest after the speech. President Alvi has decided to gather the two houses of the parliament in the Parliament House, as per his decision to exercise his powers under Article 56(3) of the Constitution.
Moreover, the opposition has been blamed the current government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the NA Speaker Asad Qaiser for the violation of the constitution and didn’t allow them a debate on the presidential address.
Opposition parties have planned to interrupt the president’s speech by staging a walk-out and protesting outside the Parliament House.
