Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has confirmed that the Sindh government intends to hold the local body elections in February or March. Addressing the media after laying a floral wreath on the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s grave, Shah said he was certain that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would form the government in Sindh.

Shah stated that PPP had done everything in their power to facilitate Sindh and take steps that go in the province’s favor. He said, “We are ready after legislation regarding LG elections”. He also informed that that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will hold a meeting with the party’s Central Executive Committee.

In reference to PTI’s defeat in the local bodies election in KP, he stated that it was the result of Imran’s policies that led him to this adding that the reaction of the people is enough to understand what they think of the party.

Do you think the PPP has done enough for the province to expect a victory in the LG polls?
