The government of Pakistan and NCOC had urged people from time to time to follow the SOPs. However, during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, the SOPs had been badly violated which resulted in the surge of coronavirus active cases. The percentage for the active cases has now crossed 11.88%. The highest number of COVID-19 cases have started to report since May 21.
The daily tally which was at 2,500 cases has reached 3,752 after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. The total number is ow 57,799. Among all the cities, Karachi has reported the highest ratio for positive cases 24.84%. Muzaffarabad recorded 19.76% and 18.59% in Rawalpindi.
