COVID-19 cases drop by 65% in 60 days

According to the data collected by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the number of COVID-19 cases has reduced by 65% in the span of two months and the positivity rate has dropped by 1.9%. The tally of inpatients was around 7,000 in April has now reached 2,746 by June 17. Moreover, the record of 1,119 cases and 46 deaths have been reported in just one day that brought the positivity ratio to 3.01%

In the previous two COVID-19 waves in Pakistan, the active cases had crossed 50,000 in June 2020 which started to decline by September 2020 and reached 6,000 cases.
