Global deaths from coronavirus exceed 900,000

According to a Reuters report, the global death toll from the coronavirus has crossed 900,000, as worldwide cases have reached 27.7 million.

The United States remains the worst-affected country in the world, with more than 190,000 deaths, with more than 6.3 million in cases. Brazil ranks second with more than 127,000 deaths led by India with almost 74,000 deaths.

According to Reuters estimates based on data from the last two weeks a total of more than 5,600 people dies per day from Covid-19. Death rates stay stable and take 18 days to climb from 800,000 deaths to 900,000. The transit from 700,000 to 800,000 took 17 days.
