Gwadar protest ends after acceptance of demands

A month after the protest from the people of Gwadar, the stage-ins for their fundamental rights, the leader Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman decided to end the protests upon acceptance of their demands. After ongoing protests and negotiations for a month, the protest has finally come to an end. The people of Gwadar had many demands including declining health and education facilities, lack of drinking water, illegal trawler fishing, and more.

The news was confirmed by the Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development Zahoor Buledi who tweeted, “The negotiation with Maulana Hidayat Ur Rehman in the presence of CM has been successful. Govt has accepted all demands of Maulana Sb and the dharna is to be called off.”
