The federal government on Tuesday began the process to auction the extensive house of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in a high-end neighborhood of Lahore, in the wake of its confiscation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over a reference about assets beyond means.
The former finance minister has been absconding court proceedings since 2017 after the registration of reference against him.
On Tuesday, the government advertised the auctioning of the residence. The advert said that there would be an open auction on January 28, which would let the highest bidder take possession of the house.
The district government has set a minimum price of Rs185 million.
