Islamabad contacts Beijing for more vaccines

Over the last three weeks, a twofold increase in the number of active covid-19 cases has been reported leading the tally to reach up to 3000 patients.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi took notice of this event and communicated it to the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, Wang Yi. Qureshi discussed with Yi that Pakistan needs more vaccines to curb the virus spread.

Yi ensured that China will be a supportive ally in the fight against the pandemic to which Mr. Qureshi has expressed his gratitude.

Moreover, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Asad Umer has guaranteed that by the end of March, Pakistan is to receive more than a million vaccines of Chinese Sinopharm and Cansino doses.
