Rava is an online news portal providing recent news, editorials, opinions and advice on day to day happenings in Pakistan.
The University of Karachi (KU) has issued a notification to conduct online semester exams via Skype, Google Classrooms, Microsoft Teams or Whatsapp.
The comprehensive two-page notification has been released by Registrar Professor Dr Saleem Shehzad of the KU and applies to affiliated colleges functioning under the annual examination program.
It should be remembered that the semester started in January and encountered interruptions post-February 27, while online semester classes ended in mid-June.
As per the notice, four different assessment types were listed: ‘during session assessment’ which includes a term paper, case study project, thematic essay, individual or group presentations, class tests or activity, a quiz, e-portfolio, open-book assignment and an individual or group oral examination.
The schedule of the exams will be determined by the relevant course in-charge and the in-charge will also be responsible for the allocation of marks.
Oral exams should be arranged for students with medical problems, internet issues.
